(also it sounds way more entertaining to have a mixed fleet with dedicated roles) But I read everywhere people building more diverse fleets and I'm trying to understand the pros and cons of this. So I'm starting to wonder if I have the right approach to fleet composition and even combat deployment.īasically I think I could afford to deploy 100% capital ships at this stage and maybe that's the way forward. I've tried SO builds (Dominator, Aurora, Eagle, Hammerhead) and long-range builds (Enforcer, Eradicator, Falcon) and each of these are doing okay on their own in simulation but then in a fleet combat against the, things are a bit more messy. Initially I thought having some destroyers escorting capital ships would be useful, and that SO cruisers could harass and flank enemy capitals but I'm not sure anymore. I've reached the point where I'm trying to farm high danger zones and I'm losing quite a few destroyers and cruisers every time, while my 3 capitals (2 Onslaught and 1 Legion) survive most of the time. ![]()
